About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah — a writer, brand thinker, and lover of language with over 15 years of experience helping brands find the right words.

I’ve worked on everything from national ad campaigns to hyper-local social content, from packaging to brand voice guides. Whether it’s big, bold headlines or tiny-but-mighty product descriptions, I believe great copy doesn’t just sound good — it solves a problem.

My career started at big agencies like GSD&M and BBDO, where I wrote for powerhouse brands like BMW, AT&T, and the U.S. Air Force. From there, I moved into an Associate Creative Director role at Wildfire, leading creative for clients like Hanes, Wonderbra, and Wake Forest Athletics. In 2012, I made the leap to freelance — and I’ve never looked back.

Since then, I’ve collaborated with a wide mix of clients including Mattel, Krispy Kreme, Red Hat, Four Seasons Hotels, Truliant Federal Credit Union, Maidenform, and HondaJet — just to name a few. My work has been featured in Communication Arts and recognized with multiple Gold Addys, a Best of Show, and even a National Addy Award.

At the heart of it all? I love helping brands sound like themselves — only better.
